Serie "Berührend": Zu Gast im Massage-Studio

Bremen, September 18, 2020: What hand movements are particularly beneficial for people when their muscles are tense? Masseurs must not only master their craft, but also build trust if they want to practice their profession effectively. The topic of touch is a particularly important one in times of coronavirus. People are keeping their distance, avoiding handshakes, and wearing masks to protect against infection. For a collaboration with the Böttcherstraße Museums, the WESER-KURIER has examined professions in which touch plays a central role. While the coronavirus is not the focus, the pandemic does provide a special context for the topic. For this video in the five-part series, we visited the "Badehaus" Bremen, which also offers massages. Masseur and managing director Roland Janauschek describes the special significance of touch in massage. All videos in this series can also be seen as part of the exhibition "Touching" at the Böttcherstraße Museums, which runs from September 19, 2020, to January 24, 2021.
