I made a special obi that shows how Nagoya obi work, and explained how to tie an obi in an easy-to-understand way. Tying an obi becomes much easier if you understand the relative positions of which part of a long piece of cloth is the obi drum, which part is the tare, which part is the maeharara, and which part is the hand (tip). I'm not a kimono shop owner or a kimono dressing teacher. What's more, my shoulders hurt so I can't move my hands behind my back very well. I've demonstrated how to tie an obi that even someone like me can do, so please take a look for reference. In the video, I say that the bottom end of the tare should be slightly above the protruding part of your buttocks, but in reality it seems to be a little below. I didn't understand my body shape.
