Castle Loevestein Loevestein is a castle and fortress that falls under the municipality of Zaltbommel, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located just northwest of the village of Poederoijen at the end of the Schouwendijk in the floodplains of the Waal and the Afgedamde Maas.
