Monte SPECIE da PRATO PIAZZA - Balcone sulle TRE CIME di LAVAREDO [Dolomiti Ep. 4]

Mount Specie (Strudelkopf in German), at 2,307 meters, is a secondary peak on the small ridge whose main peak is the Picco di Vallandro. Its modest height, however, doesn't detract from the panoramic views from the summit, which range from the Braies Dolomites to the Sesto Dolomites. On clear days, you can even see the Austrian Alps to the north. The mountain can be reached via an undemanding hike starting from the Prato Piazza or Vallandro refuges.
