La pierre verte qui fait trembler la Colombie !

Nearly 90% of the world's emeralds are mined in Colombia. Alongside the legal trade, an opaque clandestine network has flourished, operating completely unchecked and generating profits sometimes exceeding those of gold or diamonds. On the ground, the journalist investigates in Bogotá, where emerald dealers trade their stones in the open air, directly on the sidewalks. These gems come primarily from Muzo, in the north of the country. Around this city, ten mines alone account for 75% of global production, yielding the purest emeralds ever discovered.
