Comparing Kampung Durians to Branded - Visit to Pulau Betong and Hee Lok Kopitiam 喜乐咖啡店 Breakfast

It is almost the end of the durian season for 2025, maybe 2-3 more weeks and the harvest will be over. We had been having quite a number of good durians this year, mostly at Balik Pulau farms but I didn't get any kampung durians yet. I drove to Balik Pulau, namely Sungai Nipah and then Pulau Betong area to check out some kampung durians and also some species we haven't tried yet. Of course we had to have some breakfast first and stopped at Hee Lok Kopitiam 喜乐咖啡店 near the Air Itam market around the Jalan Rambutan junction. I was happy to find a good char koay kak there at only RM3.80! It was a great start to my day! One of the durians I have been curious about is the Ikan Emas or Kim Hu durians which I had been hearing about. I found some at this roadside stall at the junction of Sg Burung and Pulau Betong called 666 Durian Stall. Next we drove towards the Pulau Betong jetty and just before turning into the market area there were 2 stalls, Sedap Best Durian and Kedai Durian 228.
