Kemenhaj Bongkar Praktik Penipuan Dam & Badal Haji, Transaksi Mencapai RP1,4 Miliar

MINISTRY OF HAJI EXPOSES HAJI DAM & BADAL FRAUD, TRANSACTIONS REACH IDR 1.4 BILLION A Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) from West Java is suspected of being involved in a hajj dam and badal fraud. This case was uncovered thanks to the collaboration of the PPIH Pilgrim Protection Team and the Indonesian Consulate General in Saudi Arabia, with total transactions reaching IDR 1.4 billion. A total of 140 pilgrims were recorded paying the badal hajj fee at a rate of around IDR 10 million per person. The Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, stated that the fee was unreasonable and suspect. According to Dahnil, the KBIHU personnel are suspected of collaborating with religious authorities in Saudi Arabia. Regarding the dam fraud, the Deputy Minister stated that this discovery stemmed from complaints from pilgrims. Several pilgrims claimed they had not received proof of payment from Adahi, despite having paid a dam of 720 riyals. The dam payment funds were allegedly not deposited with Adahi, but instead went into private pockets. The government has confirmed that it will take firm action against those involved. Any KBIHU found to be involved could face having their permits revoked and be prosecuted according to applicable law.
