After seven years, this model has received a complete and positive makeover, especially in terms of safety. All versions now come standard with six airbags, ABS+EBD brakes, traction control, stability control, hill start assist, a rearview camera, rear sensors, and three-point seatbelts. This demonstrates a significant shift in focus, prioritizing customer safety above all else. The new, modern 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine also sets itself apart from its rivals, being one of the only ones to use turbo technology, thus offering more torque and power without sacrificing efficiency. Another differentiating aspect in its segment is technology. It's rare to find models here with automatic light and rain controls, wireless phone charging, semi-autonomous driving aids, integrated internet, and the brand's own emergency system called OnStar. The design has changed and is now much more modern, with the new double grille and LED headlights in this version. The new Tracker measures 4.27 meters long, 1.79 meters wide, 1.63 meters high, and has a wheelbase of 2.57 meters, 15 millimeters longer than the previous version, thus improving interior space. The rear headlights are also LED, and the fog lights are also available. The trunk has a capacity of 393 liters. The seats fold down 60/40, increasing the capacity to 1,294 liters. It has a variable floor for storage and some hooks. More technology in the light and rain sensors for automatic headlight and wiper activation. The instrument panel is now more traditional and fairly clear, with two clocks surrounded by chrome and the 3.5-inch screen in the center. Inset in the center of the dashboard is the new 8-inch floating infotainment screen, which houses the latest version of Chevrolet's MyLink system, which is very intuitive to use. This system responds quite quickly to touch and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. After testing the Tracker for a few days, we were satisfied with the engine's power. We found it more than sufficient, and it's also very well-matched to the 6-speed automatic transmission, thanks to its good torque at low revs. The steering is electrically assisted and has good balance for both city and highway driving. The suspension is McPheron-type in the front and torsion beam in the rear. Average fuel consumption in our short test drive was approximately 45 km per gallon in the city and 52 km per gallon on the highway.
