Lesson 6: Mixed Media landscapes using Acrylic paint and Colour

In this week's session, which will be lesson number six, we shall explore colour on the backgrounds we created before the holidays; our focus will be on achieving a rich textural quality and applying atmospheric tones to a background. We will also spend some time creating new backgrounds as required and studying how other artists manipulate colour to enhance surface texture. To illustrate these techniques, I intend to bring one of my own original paintings to the class to demonstrate exactly how an artist builds up these vibrant layers. Please ensure you bring the following items along with you this week: Tissue paper and old newspaper PVA glue and gesso Sandpaper Your coloured acrylic paints and brushes Welcome to IllustratorJamiePoole – the channel where art, illustration, and creativity come to life!
