OPENING UP WITHOUT IDENTIFYING Opening up doesn't require validating what we experience, identifying with it, BUT, oh joy, opening up invites us to make a choice. And choice is what constitutes our power. Within what life offers, I have the capacity to welcome it and to make choices. The more my nervous system is regulated, the more open and curious I am about what comes, the less afraid I am of feeling, the more aware I am that everything passes and that I have resources (internal and external), the more I can be alive at the heart of my vital energy. That is to say, being sufficiently capable of daring to live, and of being able to repair what I have done by acting out of compulsions. No mistakes, just lessons learned. Am I open to life? Am I teachable?
