Qu'est ce qu'un Xanthoxylum ? - Découverte du Poivrier du Sichuan - Les Jardins de La Tine

Hello! Today, I'm taking you to the forest garden to introduce you to one of my favorite trees; it's spicy and smells delicious! It's the Sichuan Pepper Tree (Xanthoxylum)! Mark planted three of them in our forest garden four years ago. They thrive despite the drought and cold. Indeed, this little tree is very resistant to our climate. It can withstand temperatures down to -20°C and thrives in full sun, dry, and warm conditions; it also tolerates partial shade. The main attraction of the Sichuan Pepper Tree is the berries that develop in the fall, fragrant berries with citrus notes that can be enjoyed and used daily in your cooking. In short, I'll let you discover this charming little tree. I'm also providing links to my video presenting Liliane's magnificent garden and another to the channel of one of my favorite YouTubers, Liziqi. @Liziqi uses Szechuan pepper constantly in the delicious dishes she prepares at her home in Szechuan. Her videos are superb. Here's the link to one of them:    • A special program on New Year snacks  年货小零...   I don't remember if she uses Szechuan pepper in this one... anyway, she uses it very frequently, and I wouldn't be surprised if you watch several of her videos.
