"Dingman's Drop" Original Banjo Tune - An ode to Dingman's Falls in Pennsylvania
"Dingman's Drop" was inspired, in part, by a local, Poconos-Mountains-area waterfall named Dingman’s Falls. It is the second-highest waterfall in Pennsylvania with a 130-foot drop. The song tries to capture imagery of fish jumping out of the water at the base of the waterfall, the drop itself, and the rapids of the many cascades. Parts of it were also musically inspired by the playing of banjo greats Ron Stewart, Sammy Shelor, Mike Munford, and Steve Leonard.
