How much does it cost for foreign expats to live in the Philippines? What is the cost of living for retirement in Asia? In this video I breakdown my monthly budget and cost of living costs living in a hotel in Metro Manila. I list the monthly cost of my accommodation, food, socialising, transport, travel and visa renewals. So much nonsense is quoted on other channels about how much money you need to live in the Philippines. Cost of living figures quoted suggest a minimum of $1500, $2000, $2500 per calendar month which is utter BS. You don't need that money to live comfortably. Retiring in the Philippines is affordable on a budget of less than $1000 per month. Filipinos are welcome and warm people. Filipinos are often regarded as the most friendliest nation in Asia and nicest people in the world. English is widely spoken throughout the country. The Philippines is included in the top ten English speaking countries in the world.
