2001 Maspion 12” Wall Fan | Kipas Angin Dinding Tembok

During Maspion’s peak era, they introduced a wall fan that, in my opinion, has a pretty interesting design. This is the Maspion wall fan model MWF-301S, produced somewhere around 1998 to the early 2000s. The body design shows a noticeable transition from its older models, like the MWF-[]K series, which still had that fully boxy shape inspired by older National fans. This one, however, moves into a more “bare” and rounded body style, marking a shift in Maspion’s design language at the time. From what I’ve seen, this model came in several color variants such as blue, grey, white. Although interestingly, most of the differences seem to be only on the grill set, while the main body often remains grey, but I’m not entirely sure. Here’s another gem from Maspion’s lineup. I found this unit in a pretty rough condition externally, but surprisingly still new. Unfortunately, the box was too damaged to bring home, so I left it behind and only took the fan itself, along with the original manual book. It’s quite rare to see this model with a swirl-style grill like this. For some reason, it just feels sturdier and looks more visually appealing to me. Even though the original blade came in a light grey color, it had quite a bit of vibration. So I decided to swap it with a transparent blade from the MWF-300 RC. And honestly, the combination works really well, it looks much more premium and gives the fan a noticeable upgrade in appearance. Performance-wise, it’s not too different from the MWF-300 RC or other Maspion fans from that era. However, the swirl grill seems to make the airflow feel a bit softer and more evenly distributed. The speed levels are pretty much the same, but the oscillation mechanism has a slight issue, there’s a certain point during oscillation where it produces a noise. I usually use this fan in my living room area, either to support a ceiling fan or alongside the AC when it’s on.
