MESSAGE PREACHED BY PASTOR JOHN MACARTHUR in Dec. 20, 1970 "If you would be so kind as to turn with me in your Bible to the second chapter of Hebrews, Hebrews chapter 2, verses 9 through 18, is our text this morning. For those of you who may be visiting us, I want to say that we believe in a ministry that is a teaching ministry. And in our services, we strive to study the Word of God in each service, and we normally take a passage throughout a book, but because it is Christmas Sunday, we have set aside our normal series in the Gospel of John to study a particular portion in the book of Hebrews chapter 2. And as we begin, let us bow in a word of prayer. Our Father, we ask that our hearts be sensitive to Your Holy Spirit as He teaches us so that we may see and understand these truths. God, may we focus again on who Jesus Christ really is. Father, we do not desire that any human be glorified, but that the speaker be lost in the truth itself. Father, speak by Your Holy Spirit to our hearts. We pray and give You the Glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen."
