FORMER LSUIC PRESIDENT DR. YAMAH JOY BARVOR RELEASES “MEMOIR ZEELAH"

Liberians across China, Liberia, the United States, and Canada gathered virtually yesterday to celebrate the official book launch of the inspiring memoir ZEELAH of Dr. Yamah Barvor King, a distinguished Liberian engineer and former President of the Liberian Students Union in China (LSUIC). Hosted by Hon. Ruphine M. Harmon, the event highlighted Dr. King’s remarkable journey of resilience, leadership, and academic excellence. During her presentation, Dr. King reflected on overcoming personal struggles, including a difficult period in 2020 marked by emotional challenges, and how determination helped shape her success. She emphasized the transformative power of education, female empowerment, mental health awareness, and the role of teachers and policymakers in supporting young girls' aspirations. The event concluded with strong commitments to promote and distribute the book globally.
