As a counter-attack skill, "Severing Enemy" compensates for the inability to use "Flying General's Might" in group battles. Even with the Red Hare's Iron Stirrups, taking damage during "Flying General's Might" is still unavoidable. However, "Severing Enemy" isn't used mindlessly. This counter-attack skill "cannot" block any red-light attacks. Yellow-light attacks cannot be blocked by shockwaves (hammer) or tornadoes (fan). Aside from these, it can block almost anything. Furthermore, "Severing Enemy" benefits from the "Rising Wind Orb" bonus; with the "Rising Wind Orb" equipped, "Severing Enemy's" damage will be slightly higher than "Flying General's Might." The inability to use it actively and the possibility of missing are somewhat unfortunate, but at least you don't have to rely on "Rebel Thunder" anymore.
