The annual Amarnath Yatra to the shrine of Baba Barfani is set to begin on July 3rd. The first puja was performed at the holy cave on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and officials from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board participated in this first puja. This year, more than 400,000 pilgrims have registered for the Amarnath Yatra. The first batch of pilgrims will depart from Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu on July 2nd.
