FarmVlog#269 - Neues Güllefass im Einsatz - es geht los auf den Maisflächen
This week we did some more work in the vineyard while the fields were still inaccessible. We then pumped the liquid manure pit into the slurry pit to empty it and thin the slurry. It's not too thick, but thinner slurry has fewer losses due to depletion than thicker slurry. Then we finally got to use the new slurry tanker with the trailing hose. The slurry was then immediately incorporated with the rotary harrow. Unfortunately, there were a few problems with the tanker. Some were due to human error, and others to a slightly incorrect setting. In the end, it wasn't anything serious, but it was annoying. ``` Nothing much else happened this week. Enjoy! Week 13/04/2026 - 17/04/2026 Camera: DJI Osmo 5 Pro DJI Mini 5 Pro Instagram: kai_hoening_landwirtschaft / kai_hoening_landwirtschaft Here I give you insights into my daily life on the farm. My goal is to share the work of agriculture with the public and to raise awareness. Here are some brief farm details: The farm is located in a wine-growing region in the Heilbronn district. Cultivated area: approx. 100 hectares Vineyard area: approx. 4 hectares Dairy cows: 85 Female offspring: approx. 60 A few calves Vehicle fleet: Fendt 231 GT Fendt 250 GT Fendt 380 GTA Fendt 309 Turbomatik Fendt 311 Turbomatik Fendt 412 Vario Fendt 516 Vario Fendt 714 Vario Fendt 250 V - vineyard tractor Holder A50 - vineyard tractor Hanomag 15F - wheel loader About me: My name is Kai Höning, I was born in 1999 (so I don't have to update this information every year), I am a trained farmer, and I successfully completed my advanced training as a Master Farmer in autumn 2022. ... I don't own a farm myself, so I'm employed on this farm. I spent my third year of apprenticeship here, and they haven't been able to get rid of me since. I first got involved with agriculture through my uncle's farm, which is also featured in two videos on my channel. I decided to become a farmer in 11th grade, when I was trying to get my university entrance qualification after finishing secondary school. That's when I realized I'm more of a "doer" and that I'm better at practical work than theory. I've never regretted taking that step. With my videos, I try to give a realistic insight into "my" farm and share my expertise. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Advertising through brand recognition or brand mention ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
