Formula 1 Games Used To Feel REAL... (F1 25 vs. F1 2018)

A comparison on the immersive commentary of F1 2016-2019 vs. the lazy commentary of F1 25 - 2026 Season Edition… Although not mentioned in this video, it’s worth saying that this isn’t the only downgraded/removed feature, just the most egregious. The race engineer is a huge downgrade for example, with Marc repeating useless information constantly, compared to Jeff who will tell you more in-depth & useful information, even info that is track specific mid-practice session. The vistas from before a race weekend starts in F1 2016 is sorely missed, as well as the practice programmes where you used to be able to do all 5 (or so) of them across the 3 sessions, whereas now it’s a random pick of just 3. These games used to feel a lot more personal, you used to feel much more like a driver on that grid whereas now, it feels so much more like a video game & isn’t even trying to properly portray how the real product & sport truly is. If F1 27 doesn’t bring all these removed features back (with well thought-out & fleshed-out Career modes) then I can’t be convinced that these games are worth purchasing at launch anymore.
