12+ Food Art Practices in Russian Performance. Garage Museum Media Archives staff member Yana Nokhrina will discuss how artists cooked soups and made pelmeni at their exhibitions, transformed tea parties into collective performances, and explore desserts at vernissages in the late 1990s and early 2000s, as well as the ingredients of an artistic feast. The program will introduce the culinary side of the work of the Found Clothes Factory group and Natalia Pershina-Yakimanskaya (Glukli), Maria Chuikova, Sergei Zagniy and Lev Rubinstein (Switzerland group), Marina Belova and Alexey Politov, Elena Kovylina, and others. Yana Nokhrina is a film and video archivist, a researcher of experimental film and video art, a film curator, and the coordinator of media archival programs at the Garage Museum.
