Stage Uratomi is a cottage located in Makidani, Iwami Town, Iwami District, Tottori Prefecture. From there, we drove past Giboshu Bridge, Japan's longest wooden bridge spanning a Japanese castle, located at the Tottori Castle ruins. We exited at Iwami Interchange on the San'in Expressway. We arrived at Stage Uratomi, where we would be staying that night. There was parking available in front of the building, with space for about six cars. A surprisingly reasonable 4,500 yen for two people. After checking in, we headed up the outside staircase to Building C. The entrance looked like this. Once inside, we took off our shoes and entered a hallway. In front of us was a six-tatami Japanese-style room. At the back is a 6-tatami room with an open ceiling. The view from the window looks like this. There's a TV. The futons are in the closet, and you lay them out yourself. There's another room with hardwood floors on the other side of the hallway. There's a refrigerator here. There's a Wi-Fi router in the room, and it's probably working great. The toilet is a unit bath, with a flush toilet but no heated seat. The bathtub is average-sized for a unit bath. The Wi-Fi speed wasn't as fast as I expected (lol). We got back on the highway and headed out to do some shopping. We arrived at Kinanse Iwami Roadside Station. But I made the effort to use the coupon I got at Stage Uratomi. There's also a Lawson and a gas station, and it looks large and convenient. There's a crab sign with its face showing. Iwami Town apparently has the highest Matsuba crab catch in Japan. A giant crab model. The inside of the store looks like this. As expected, the seafood selection was extensive. Super cheap. After shopping, we drove back to Stage Uradome. On the way back, we took the back roads. Since we were there, we decided to go around the ocean side and head back. This place is close to the coastline. After a bath, we had some beer. We had sashimi we bought at the roadside station. For dinner, we had stir-fried glass noodles and mapo tofu, both of which we bought at the roadside station. The next morning, for breakfast, we had bread and tomatoes we'd brought with us, along with cheese, fruit, and milk. We continued on in the car.
