A difficult and demanding place - full of reeds, calamus, and dense underwater vegetation - a real challenge for every angler. The silence, lack of signal, and complete isolation from the world meant that only one thing mattered to us – catching a Masurian carp. It was here that we had incredible fights in the reeds, where after biting, the fish tried to outsmart us, escaping into the dense lilies and capelin. Even the smallest mistake could have resulted in losing the fish... We experienced moments of doubt, several days without contact with a fish, and then an explosion of emotions when we finally caught our first Masurian carp. One of the fish exceeded the magical +20 kg, and the fight was truly extreme... The two of us paddled out to retrieve the carp, and when it turned out to be stuck deep in the reeds, Sebastian decided to get out of the boat and tried to scoop it into the landing net – the fish wouldn't let go... Then I joined him and, for the first time in my life, I threw the carp directly into the basket of our landing net with my bare hands.
