Next Saturday, July 18th, will mark 32 years since the terrorist attack against the AMIA headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, perpetrated by Iranian agents and Hezbollah operatives. It was the most serious attack in our country's history, causing terrible and devastating effects not only for the Jewish community but for all of Argentine society, resulting in 85 deaths and more than a hundred people with injuries, both physical and psychological. Years later, it also claimed the life of its 86th victim, the assassinated Federal Prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who not only pursued the criminal prosecution of the Iranian and Lebanese citizens criminally responsible for the attack, but also those who, in Nisman's own words, "covered up, negotiated, and organized impunity for the fugitive perpetrators and co-perpetrators with the purpose of fabricating Iran's innocence..."
