JHB fire victims in Denver lose their belongings following floods

Residents at the Denver temporary shelter say they've lost all their belongings as a result of the heavy rains. The structures were erected as a temporary housing solution for the victims of the Usindiso building fire in Marshalltown that claimed the lives of over 80 people in August last year. Some of the 500 displaced fire victims were relocated to the area last November. Human rights activists and residents had raised concerns about the infrastructure and lack of drainage in the yard that had been converted into temporary housing. SABC News Reporter, Hasina Gori visited the area earlier today. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
