Astronomik 12nm Hydrogen Alpha Filter Review

The Hydrogen Alpha filter from Astronomik appears to be a hugely popular filter. I have had the chance to use and review this filter and in this video I'll tell you all about it. The Astronomik 12nm Hydrogen Alpha Clip-In Filter is a filter designed for Canon APS-C Crop Body cameras. Though variants are available in standard 1.25" and 2" sizes, as well as Nikon, Sony, EOS M, Sigma and more. Hydrogen Alpha is possibly the single most beneficial filter outside of your light pollution filter to improve your astrophotography. It can add a real punch and depth to your images but requires a bit of fore-thought. The Clip-In Filter is for DSLR cameras and mirrorless cameras, which allows the camera to use either adaptors and telescopes, or full frame camera lenses to collect the hydrogen alpha data. Whilst I'm reviewing the Clip-In version with my Canon 600D DSLR, I believe this review will apply for all variants of this filter as they'll be of the same coating. The clip in filter and standard variants are available from the Widescreen Centre http://bit.ly/37rOi8z Canon EOS M, Sigma and other variants: http://bit.ly/305POdZ Read more: http://bit.ly/2uu18oz ==== Equipment ==== Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro: http://bit.ly/2RCrcY9 Skywatcher Evostar 80ED Pro: http://bit.ly/2qTd55L Altair Astro Lightwave 0.8x R/F: http://bit.ly/39zYa1Z Starwave 50mm Guide Scope: http://bit.ly/2rTWzDa Altair Astro Guide Cam: http://bit.ly/39uRS3H Astronomik 12nm Ha Filter: http://bit.ly/37rOi8z Rowan Belt Mod Kit: http://bit.ly/2DMW6EZ Polemaster: http://bit.ly/36loLNI Disclaimer: Affiliate links are in use.
