Sweetgrass Baskets are an African American tradition that dates back hundreds of years. Weaver and Charleston, SC native Jerame Smalls learned the craft from his grandmother. Today he lives in Charlotte and owns 1721 Creations. He sells his baskets and custom made pieces online while continuing this traditional craft.
