Painting The Annunciation Gabriel and Mary Part 7

Today we are painting our version of The Annunciation, the moment when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary with a message that would change history forever. For this composition, I chose a unique perspective from behind Mary as she looks toward the doorway of her home. Gabriel is shown descending from heaven, suspended in the air as he arrives with the divine message. By slightly revealing Mary's profile, I wanted to capture both her humanity and the wonder of encountering the supernatural. This piece explores the contrast between the ordinary and the extraordinary a humble home suddenly filled with heavenly light and the presence of God's messenger.
