VHKC DIV 1B Season 4 Round 2 Karting Madness Braybrook

This was the second round of the fourth season of VHKC in division 1. This event took place at Karting Madness Brayrbroon in which I have been to 12 times this year including 5 league races, 6 normal sessions and a VHKC race (season 3 round 6). My PB has gone from a 35.872 in my first session to a 35.592 in my second, then a 35.557 in my fourth, 35.555 in my fifth, 35.278 in my sixth to finally a 35.108 in my most recent session which was 59th all time. I had kart number 42 in quali which i hadnt had before and noticed it did not have much grip when turning but had good acceleration out of corners so I slightly adapted my driving style in the 8 minute quali and ended up getting a 35.459 which placed me 17th out of 22, then 6th out of 11 in the B race. I felt I had a pretty good start with the lights, couting the frames from when the lights turn on to when I start pushing the pedal was approx 0.22 seconds. However I was involved in an inchident coming straight out of the first turn which dropped me back 3 places then later losing another place going for a move so i was down 4 spots. Around this time(lap5) I was thinking man Im gonna get dropped back to div2 at the way Im going, however I noticed there was still around 31 laps to go and thought thats still a whole thursday race so lets do this. I locked in and got some cool overtakes, THANK YOU to my new teammate Kristian for letting me past in lap 18 cos he said to me prior hed let me by as I'd been here quite a few more times than he had. Towards the end I was really feeling a move on Fat Tony and thought I'd try down the inside into the hairpin which I have never done before;only seen, and i went a bit too far haha but he saw me coming and made the switchback very nicely, he defended very well towards the end of the race.
