The ‘Mozart of table tennis’ – a Swede beloved in China When Jan-Ove Waldner first tried to join a table tennis club in Sweden, he was so small they would only let him be a mascot. Then they saw him play... and he was on his way to becoming ‘the Mozart of table tennis’. Waldner would become the first Grand Slam champion in world table tennis history – and the only non-Chinese player to achieve this feat.
