NEW CARICOM CHAIR PM PIERRE CALLS FOR REAL RESULTS FROM REGIONAL INTEGRATION
At the opening ceremony of the 51st CARICOM Heads of Government meeting, incoming Chair and Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre, officially succeeded Prime Minister Terrance Drew of Saint Kitts and Nevis. During his address, Pierre urged regional leaders to make the benefits of integration tangible to all citizens, warning that the union cannot survive if the public does not perceive its value.
