Silverhöjdsspåret Grängesberg-Ställdalen [500 sub bonus]

This is a bonus video to celebrate that this channel has reached 500 subscribers. A short journey along Silverhöjdsspåret, an alternate line between Grängesberg and Ställdalen. The regular line, called Hörkenspåret, can be seen in the previous video here:    • Borlänge C - Örebro C [TDV0011]   And here is a brief and simplified version of why there are two almost parallel lines. In the 1870s there were two companies competing for the railway traffic between Ludvika and Ställdalen, Frövi-Ludvika Järnväg and Bergslagernas Järnvägar. The cooperation between these two companies were not good, which led to each company building their own railway line between the two cities almost parallel to each other. From Grängesberg to Ställdalen is the only part where both these lines still coexists. The line built by Bergslagernas Järnvägar is the most used one and the line built by Frövi-Ludvika Järnväg is only used as an alternate line for a few trains every now and then.
