A 3-day, 2-night long-distance touring trip around Izu. This is Day 2, Part 1. Today's journey started at Irozaki, the southernmost point of South Izu. Afterward, we stopped at the scenic Kumomi Coast and had lunch at Iso Kappo Kakura. We also enjoyed the famous squid cutlet at Hanbata Market. The weather gradually worsened, and we headed to our accommodation, crossing a rainy mountain pass. The trip was going smoothly... or so we thought, but the real challenge began here.
