A $6,000 Unpaid Lawn Bill Just Ruined This Wanted Fugitive's Life

September 18, 2024, marked the beginning of an investigation when an employee of a landscaping business reported a theft of services at the local police department. The business had provided extensive lawn maintenance and turf care for a resident throughout the 2024 season, accumulating an unpaid balance of over six thousand dollars. Despite numerous attempts to collect payment via email, phone, and regular mail, the resident failed to compensate the company. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the resident had multiple active warrants, including a federal probation violation and a warrant for tampering with witnesses. On September 26, 2024, police conducted surveillance and subsequently stopped a vehicle associated with the resident. The resident eventually emerged from his home, was informed of his warrants along with the new theft of services charge, and was placed under arrest. During a recorded interview, the suspect admitted to signing the service contracts and failing to pay, citing financial difficulties. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
