Shock absorber removal and knuckle removal. In this video I will show you how to remove the front shock absorbers on a 2006, Mark 5 Ford Fiesta. The shock absorber removal is needed to replace the broken coil spring. In order to remove the shock absorber the vehicle is needing to be jacked up and placed on axle stands, remove both front wheels and place under the vehicle as a secondary safety measure. the shock absorber is simple bolt on and bolt off. The removal of the shock from the knuckle is tricky, just remember to be careful of any cables that may restrict movement or may get in the way when hammering the knuckle.
