History as Kenya's Flag is Hoisted in the UK for the 1st Time
As Kenyans marked 59 years of self-rule during the Jamhuri Day celebrations in December, those living in London quietly gathered for a historic event that saw the Kenyan flag hoisted outside of the Kenya embassy in the UK for the first time in history. Timothy Otieno witnessed the ceremony in the borough of Barking & Dagenham in East London and filed the following report.
