Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo discusses his firm belief that the death penalty is wrong and that it is time for American to banish capital punishment. (Taped 6-21-13) In May 1956, Richard D. Heffner, American historian, broadcaster, and University Professor of Communications and Public Policy at Rutgers, began a weekly public television series called The Open Mind.
