Canicattì, la festa “Li Tri Re”: Una tradizione che si rinnova dal 1870

On January 6, 2025, the "Li Tre Re" festival took place in Canicattì. This tradition has been renewed since 1870 thanks to the "Li Tri Re" association. The historical procession with the Three Kings and the "La Conca d'oro" flag-wavers from Mazzarino set out from the Villa Comunale, stopping in front of the church of San Diego, where the Magi no longer found the guiding star to reach Baby Jesus. In Piazza IV Novembre, they met with Herod (Filippo Curto, who has lived and worked in Pisa for ten years and is taking vacation to play this role). The Magi found their way again and reached the church of Santo Spirito in Borgalino, where they found Jesus. A procession not only historical but also full of emotion.
