Acoustic Guitar Sound Ports: Talk & Tutorial (hole-saw installation)
This is an instructional video for how to install your own sound port in an acoustic guitar using a hole-saw. The video also includes an introductory talk on what to consider when deciding if a sound port is right for you. Note: The hole-saw technique used in this video is only recommended for laminate (plywood) sided acoustic guitars. It's very possible it would work just as well for solid wood sided guitars as well, but there is a greater risk for wood-tear with solid wood sided guitars. [Perform at your own risk] You can also check out a more stream-lined version of this video that I made a few years ago: • The Poor Man's Sound Port (Tutorial) Best of luck! ps - If you enjoyed this tutorial, please check out some of my music: • Judson Kimble - Touch Thanks!
