The Journey To Duhok!

Today we took a shared taxi from Mosul to Duhok and explored the city. We kicked the day off with our favourite Iraqi breakfast of kahi geymar, as always it hit the spot. We also had a fresh lahmacun with an egg and a some noom basra chai, Iraq's finest tea for me. After a short shared taxi ride we were in Duhok city, we checked into our 30 dollar a night hotel and did a little room tour. This was one of the nicest places we've stayed in the country it was bloody lovely. We were starving so headed into Duhok's bazaar area and had some good old meat sandwiches for lunch, these are always pretty good and super affordable. Now from pretty much anywhere in Duhok you can see a big Kurdish flag on top of the mountain, we knew we had to hike up there so off we went at sunset. From the top of the mountain the views over Duhok, the dam and the surrounding countrysides were just incredible. Another fantastic day here in Iraq. Everyday is a belter! Subtitles Available!
