From Quito: The 100th Anniversary of Oswaldo Guayasamin Birth
In today's program, we remember the life of Ecuadorean artist, Oswaldo Guayasamin, as we celebrate 100 years since his birth. We will look at his artistic legacy for Ecuador and for all Latin American painters but we also want to look deeper into his desires of social justice, how he portrayed the sufferings of the indigenous people in the region, and how that fight continues today.
