Motorcycle Starter Clutch Rebuild How To

This video shows you how to rebuild a slipping motorcycle starter clutch. This is a very common item to wear out in these old bikes simply due to age but is unfortunately something that can keep your bike from starting. This will be a very similar process on your CB750s, CB900, GL1100, GL1200, CB550, GL650 and many more! On this CX500 you can see that one spring was actually broken with another being compressed and worn. These two things keep the bike from starting. Note that I looked for a long time for any broken spring material and did not find any. It would have been very soft metal and not able to cause damage anyway.
