Then I prepared my modified VW bus for a different kind of trip: I went to visit an agricultural fair in another city! There I found enormous machines, modern equipment for tobacco, soybeans, and rice, as well as a corn harvesting implement I had never seen before. The problem? The price... that was completely out of my reach! After the visit, I returned home with only experience... and some expenses in my pocket. The next day it was time to return to the reality of the small farmer. The corn was already at a good stage of development, so I grabbed the bucket, the wheelbarrow, and went to spread urea manually throughout the field.
