DC AirCon for your boat... it works!

We don't have built in AC on our boat and frankly I'm glad. It adds complexity, is power hungry and if you have the whole boat air conditioned you tend not to acclimatise to where you are and end up inside rather than out enjoying the wonderful places we visit. However for the last few years in the Med we've had heatwaves that have made sleeping very difficult in high summer and we are now heading for the tropics so things can only get worse! Or maybe not... Until recently AC was something you could only really have at the dock on shore power, or by running your generator, things we don't do.
