Jury to Hear Sword Murder Defendant’s Explosive Jail Calls

On Friday, jail calls between Isaac Apodaca and his mother were played in court. In one of the calls, you can hear Apodaca say that his phone was charging and that the texts that were allegedly sent were not his. He also went on to say that the detective coerced him into saying something that he didn't even do. In another call, he can be heard saying, “I know I'm innocent. I know I didn't do anything .” The judge ultimately determined that the 11 soundbites will be admitted and played for the jury.
