Ukraine in Chaos? What's Behind Fedorov's Removal YouTube Description Why did Volodymyr Zelensky decide to remove Mykhailo Fedorov, one of Ukraine's most popular and innovative ministers, and choose to keep General Oleksandr Syrskyi in command of the Armed Forces? In this video, we reconstruct the clash that developed at the top of the Ukrainian defense system. This isn't just a personal conflict, but a clash between two different conceptions of war. On one side, Fedorov: digitalization, drones, Starlink, artificial intelligence, data collection from the battlefield, and the distribution of resources based on verified results. On the other, Syrskyi: operational continuity, discipline, chain of command, and a more traditional and centralized military structure. According to reports published by Reuters and Ukrainska Pravda, the relationship between the Ministry of Defense and the military command had become unsustainable. Syrskyi complained about not receiving the equipment required for certain operations; Fedorov responded that the resources had been delivered, but used poorly or in the wrong areas. Zelensky thus faced an extremely difficult choice: replace the commander-in-chief or sacrifice the minister charged with modernizing the entire defense system. In the video, we analyze: Fedorov's role in the development of the Army of Drones; the relationship with Starlink and the blocking of terminals used without authorization by Russian forces; Brave1 and the collaboration between the military, companies, and developers; the points system to reward units capable of documenting results; the accusations of excessive centralization leveled against Syrskyi; the problems in the distribution of drones and resources; the fragmentation of brigades and battalions; internal resistance to military procurement reform; the unresolved mobilization issue; the protests that erupted after the minister's dismissal; the possible military and political consequences of the decision. Fedorov had claimed to have found a system in which some decisions could depend more on personal loyalty than on data. His supporters believe he was stopped by the old guard and the interests affected by the reforms. But this is only part of the story. The minister had not yet managed to complete the promised mobilization reform. There also remained difficulties related to military rotation, unauthorized absences from service, and the differences in treatment between new recruits and those who have been fighting for years. The conclusion is perhaps more complex: Ukraine needs both the technological revolution promoted by Fedorov and a chain of command capable of sustaining a long and difficult war. The real political failure may have been the failure to bring these two worlds together. Did Zelensky defend continuity of command, or did he sacrifice the man who was transforming the war?
