Shore fishing for tachiuo—Japanese cutlassfish, also known as hairtail—in Yokosuka, Japan. In Japan, cutlassfish size is often measured by body width using fingers. This fish was approximately F4.8, meaning it was almost five fingers wide! This video also introduces the Japanese “WIND” technique, known as “waindo” in Japan—a method that uses a soft plastic lure and jighead to create a sharp side-to-side darting action.
