Driving | Sand - Nesvik | Road Trip Norway

Scenic drive from Sand to Nesvik following part of the iconic Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke. Starting in the charming village of Sand, the drive takes you along the Suldalslågen River, known for its crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings. Sand itself is worth exploring, with attractions like the Salmon Studio, where you can watch wild salmon in their natural habitat, and the Ryfylkemuseet, which provides insights into the local culture and traditions. As you leave Sand, you'll cross the spectacular Sandsfjord Bridge, which spans the tranquil Sandsfjord. The bridge offers panoramic views of the fjord's serene waters and the dramatic mountains that rise on either side—a perfect spot for photos. The drive continues through the Suldalslågen River Valley, a peaceful stretch with rolling greenery and opportunities to see Norway's rich countryside. The route ends at Nesvik, a small but picturesque ferry terminal on the shores of the Jelsafjord.
