We Finally Rode the Alaska Railroad! Denali, Wildlife & Epic Alaska Views

What an incredible Alaska adventure! After winning Alaska Railroad tickets at a charity auction, generously donated by the Alaska Railroad to support a great cause, we finally had the opportunity to experience one of Alaska's most iconic journeys. Starting in Valdez, we drove to Anchorage and then boarded the Alaska Railroad for a round-trip adventure to Fairbanks and back. Over three days, we covered roughly 1,300 miles and experienced some of the most spectacular scenery Alaska has to offer. Along the way you'll see Denali (Mt. McKinley), Hurricane Gulch, glacial rivers, rugged mountain ranges, industrial rail operations, and endless wilderness. We were also fortunate to spot moose, a black bear, and distant Dall sheep during our journey. As first-time passengers on the Alaska Railroad, we were amazed by the panoramic dome car views and the opportunity to see parts of Alaska that most visitors never experience. If you're looking for a relaxing way to see a large portion of the state, we highly recommend adding an Alaska Railroad trip to your bucket list.
