Lupus and Low-Disease State

Complete remission is the goal for anyone living with lupus - at least until we finally find a cure! However, the definition of “remission” keeps changing, and what’s more - for many, a better, more achievable goal is something called a “Lupus Low Disease Activity State.” You may have heard this term when talking to your rheumatologist. Yet, what does it mean to get to a “low disease state?” How is it different from “remission,” and what can it mean for you?
